The method involves entering a query for obtaining an attribute data for an attribute of a set of attributes of one of the entity types. An availability of a single data source or two sources for the attribute data of one of the entity types is determined from customizing data. A sub-query is generated for each one of the two data sources. Results of the sub-queries are combined to provide a query result. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a computer program product, in particular digital storage medium for performing a data processing method (b) a data processing system.
