USPTO Abstract

[Object] To provide a dry powder of amino acids being excellent in meltability in mouth and solubility and a process for producing the same. [Means for Resolution] A process for producing a powder of amino acids that is a process for producing a powder by spray drying an aqueous solution containing amino acids characterized in that the aqueous solution containing amino acids is spray dried in the state of fine droplets in the presence of trehalose to give a powder having an average grain size of from 0.1 to 15 µm; and a process for producing a powder of amino acids characterized in that dry granulation is performed during or after spray drying to give a powder having an average grain size of from 20 to 1000 µm.
