USPTO Abstract
The present invention relates to an adsorbing material which comprises at least one porous functional solid, e.g. a zeolite, incorporated in a polymer matrix. The adsorbing material contains the porous functional solid in an amount of 45 to 80 wt.%. The polymer matrix comprises at least one organic polymer, particularly selected from thermoplastics, and has a secondary pore volume in addition to the primary pore volume of the porous functional solid. Further, the present invention is directed to a shaped article, which comprises or consists of the afore-mentioned adsorbing material, to a method for its preparation and to its use. The present invention is finally concerned with the use of specific rheological additives, in particular waxy components, which function as pore-forming agents in the preparation of shaped articles.
