USPTO Abstract
The multipurpose machine for monitoring and control of locoregional therapies in oncology comprises a head (2) which has a box-like structure, is supported by a base (3) provided with a trolley (8) for modifying its dimensions, and is provided with adsorbent and/or filtering devices (6) and with a control (7) for controlling and regulating chemotherapy and chemofiltration which are arranged along a first set of duct (104) circuits accommodated in the head (2); the first set of circuits (104) is divided into at least two loops (104a, 104b) each of which has its own pumps (105, 106); the loops are mutually interactive or separable, and the first loop (104a) is provided for the infusion of the chemotherapeutic agents (C) and the second loop (104b) is provided for the filtration of the chemotherapeutic agents; an emergency electronic circuit (109) is inserted between the two loops (104a, 104b) in order to detect malfunctions of the pumps (105, 106) and functionally restore at least the infusion loop (104a); the head (2) further accommodates a second main set of circuits (110) which can be activated alternately with respect to the first one (104) and is meant to perform intraperitoneal hyperthermal perfusion therapy.
