1,2,3-Thiadiazole derivatives of general formula (I) and salts thereof, disease controlling agents containing the derivatives or salts as the active ingredients, and a method for the use of the same, wherein R1 is H, C¿1?-C4 (halo)alkyl, a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic group containing 1 to 3 heteroatoms which may be the same or different from each other and are selected from among O, N and S, or the like; A is (a), (b), (c), (d) (wherein R?2 and R3¿ are each H, halogeno, cyano, formyl, alkylthio, alkoxycarbonyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or the like, or alternatively R?2 and R3¿ may be united to form a C¿2?-C6 alkylene which is optionally interrupted by -O-, -S(O)n- (wherein n is 0 to 2), -CO- or -NR?8¿- (wherein R8 is H, halogeno or the like), thus forming a 3- to 7-membered ring); B is cyano, an optionally substituted 5- or 6-membered heteroxyclic group containing 1 to 3 heteroatoms selected from among O, N and S, or the like; and m is 0 to 4.
