The present invention relates to a method for quantitatively determining the expression of a gene, comprising providing at least two types of samples each containing a cDNA coding for the gene, adding a different adaptor to each of the cDNAs contained in the samples, mixing equal amounts of the samples each containing the adaptortagged cDNA, amplifying the resultant cDNAs and calculating an amount ratio between the amplified products.
