USPTO Abstract

The present invention provides anti-VEGF human monoclonal antibodies capable of binding to human VEGF to neutralize its activity, cell strains producing said human monoclonal antibody, and vascularization inhibitors containing said human monoclonal antibodies. Hybridoma strains VA01 and BL2 FERM BP-5607 and FERM BP-5424 producing the anti-VEGF human monoclonal antibody are provided by transformation with Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) of human lymphocyte producing anti-human VEGF antibody and then fusing the transformant cells with human myeloma cells. The monoclonal antibodies can serve as vascularization inhibitors, useful for humans because it is derived from human and capable of binding specifically to VEGF participating in vascularization, to inhibit the migration or proliferation of vascular endothelial cells.
