An image processing apparatus comprises: an input device for supplying color image information; a discrimination unit to discriminate whether the color image information includes a predetermined image or not in accordance with a color distribution of the color image information supplied by the input device; and a processing circuit to process the color image information in accordance with the result of the discrimination of the discriminating means.
