The invention discloses new oligodeoxyribonucleotides of animal origin, having a molecular weight comprised between 4OOO and 1OOOO daltons, that can be obtained by fractionation of polydeoxyribonucleotides or otherwise by chemical or enzymatic depolymerization of high molecular weight deoxyribonucleic acids. The new compounds are endowed with a significant anti-ischemic activity.
