It has an extremely reduces toxicity and an excellent stability, exhibits scarcely any or no hypotensive activity even if directly administered into the blood vessel of an animal, is reduced in the activity of platelet agglutination, and is useful in the medical field as, for example, a contrast medium for MRI and a pyrogenic agent for thermotherapy.
