The process described, which serves to prepare a hydrophobic-aerophilic solid which can disperse in water in the form of separate microparticles, consists in grinding the solid in an aqueous medium in the presence of a hydrocolloid in order to obtain a suspension containing suspended particles of an average particle size not exceeding 10 mm, then finely separating and drying the suspension in order to obtain a powder.
