A method of providing a unit dosage form of a finely divided solid medicament for inhalation by a patient is provided, which comprises engaging the base layer (40) of a container of the medicament to burst the lid layer (39) of the container (38) and discharge the medicament into a chamber for inhalation. The container may be in a blister pack of such containers, each blister containing up to 10mg of medicament. The container may be held in the first chamber (19) of a suitable device and a discharge element (32) may be used to burst the container and discharge its contents into a second chamber.
