USPTO Abstract

Drainage tube (1) allowing drainage of the maxillary sinus, consisting of a central part (1b) having an external dimension adapted to a hole made in the bone wall, between the nasal cavity and the maxillary sinus, of a part extensible end, feet (6) foldable preferably outwards, as well as an opposite end part (2) widened with respect to the central part (1b), preferably in the form of a collar. In order to drill the hole in the nasal wall, a tube-shaped drill has been developed which, in its free end edge, is made with a toothed blade, as well as a special introductory instrument allowing the insertion of the drainage tube in position, between the nasal cavity and the maxillary sinus.
