USPTO Abstract
A capsule intended to be used to administer therapeutic agents to animals is made of a mixture of (i) 10-75% by weight of a material chosen from polyalkylene glycols with an average molecular weight of 2,000 - 3,000; and (ii) from 20-80% by weight of poly (ethylene oxide) with an average molecular weight of 80,000 - 1 × 107. The preferred materials are polyethylene glycol with an average molecular weight of 3,000 - 5,000 and ply (ethylene oxide) with an average molecular weight of 300,000 - 800,000. It is possible to include therapeutic agents in the composition of the capsule as well as in its cavity. The capsules described in the present invention are intended in particular to be used for administering trace elements, in particular acicular copper oxide, to animals.
