The invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions, particularly for intravenous administration, containing {8-fluoro-2-[4-(3-methoxyphenyl)piperazin-1-yl]-3-[2-methoxy-5-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-4-yl} acetic acid in combination with at least one of the cyclodextrin excipients, lysine and arginine; the method for its production; and its use in methods of treatment of and/or as a prophylactic for illnesses, particularly its use as an antiviral, preferably against cytomegaloviruses.
