USPTO Abstract
A needle-free injector device is provided. The device comprises an injection orifice, a cap covering the orifice, and a mechanism for changing the injector from safe to ready and then to triggering positions. The cap is positioned such that it must be removed before the injector may be placed in the ready position. The mechanism for changing the injector comprises a latch and the device further comprises a mechanism for moving the latch which comprises a pin and means for actuating the pin such that the pin will push the latch from a latch safe position to a latch ready position. The means for actuating the pin comprises a lever, actuation of which moves a collar which moves the pin against the latch.
