USPTO Abstract

A device for iontophoresis imparting a relaxed feeling of stimulation when a current is started flowing and applying a necessary current to administer a medicine in a predetermined time efficiently. The electromotive force produc ed in a coil (13) is controlled by adjusting the oscillation frequency and duty of a transistor (15) at the start of application of the current so as to gradually increase the output voltage. A microcomputer (12) receives a curre nt from an output voltage sensing circuit comprising resistors (23, 24) and a signal from an output current sensing circuit comprising resistors (25, 26) and a capacitor (27) and controls the transistor (15) so as to limit increas e of the output voltage when the sensed output current reaches a limit and lim it increase of the output current when the sensed output voltage reaches a limi t.
