The device is used for introducing an active substance solution into a patient and has means for fastening to the skin and a cannula (9). The cannula is held in a withdrawn position by a retaining and releasing mechanism (14) before use and, after release, is propelled into the patient's skin. A connector (6) connected to the rear of the cannula serves to connect the cannula to an active substance reservoir.
