A pharmaceutical preparation for application of biologically active substance(s) to a mucosal membrane of a mammal comprising one or more substance(s) selected from the group consisting of n-glycofurols represented by formula (I), wherein n is 1 to 8, and n-ethylene glycols represented by the formula (II): H(OCH2CH2)p OH, wherein p is 1 to 14, produces a high plasma concentration of the pharmaceutically active substance(s) nearly as rapid as by i.v. administration.
