USPTO Abstract
ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Activated carbon for use as an adsorbent in purifying blood is prepared by coating a bead-shaped particle of activated carbon with a film-forming material. The coated particles of activated carbon exhibit excellent properties with regard to the amount of free carbon dust present, ash dissolvable out, residual solvent present, the degree of coagulation of the blood, and high safety, as compared with conventional absorbents.
