Embodiments of the present invention relate to gas delivery device for use in a gas delivery system for administering therapy gas and methods of administering therapy gas. A gas delivery system, comprising: a cart having a receptacle configured to receive a gas source, having a valve transceiver, of therapeutic gas and a cover portion including a control module transceiver; a control module, having a processor, interconnected with the cart and operable to be in communication with the control module transceiver of the cover portion; wherein the control module transceiver is configured to receive, from the valve, transceiver gas data associated with the therapeutic gas, the transceiver gas data including at least one of: gas identification, gas expiration, or gas concentration; and wherein the processor is configured to control inflow of the therapeutic gas according to whether the transceiver gas data meets at least one predetermined criteria. 1/12 300 FIG.
