Xylocaine

Xylocaine, also known as lidocaine, is a local anesthetic of the amino amide type that works by blocking the sodium channel alpha subunit. It is used to treat various conditions, including pain during medical procedures, such as copper intrauterine device insertion, and is also used to treat ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation.
