Mechanism of action
Vitamin E functions as a lipid-soluble antioxidant that protects cell membranes from free radical damage, while selenium is incorporated into selenoproteins (including glutathione peroxidase) that catalyze the reduction of hydrogen peroxide and lipid hydroperoxides. Together, they enhance the body's antioxidant defense system and may support immune function and reduce inflammation.
