Mechanism of action
TXA (tranexamic acid) is an antifibrinolytic agent that inhibits the activation of plasminogen to plasmin, thereby preventing the breakdown of blood clots. This is particularly useful in conditions where excessive bleeding is a concern, such as in trauma patients.
