Mechanism of action
Triamcinolone acetonide works by entering cells and binding to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors, which then translocate to the nucleus and modulate gene expression. This leads to decreased production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, reduced immune cell activation and migration, and suppression of inflammatory mediators. The injectable formulation allows for localized or systemic anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects depending on the route of administration.
