Mechanism of action

Tamsulosin works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate. Dutasteride, on the other hand, blocks the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that contributes to prostate growth.
