Sonoporation
Sonoporation is a Small molecule drug developed by University Hospital, Tours. It is currently in Phase 2 development.
Sonoporation is a technique that uses sound in the ultrasonic range to increase the permeability of the cell plasma membrane, allowing the uptake of large molecules such as DNA into the cell. This technique is being studied in clinical trials for the treatment of various stages of pancreatic cancer, including locally advanced and metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, in combination with chemotherapy agents such as gemcitabine hydrochloride, nab-paclitaxel, and fluorouracil.
