Rimactane, also known as rifampicin, is a small molecule inhibitor of bacterial DNA-directed RNA polymerase used to treat bacterial infections, including latent tuberculosis. It is often used in combination with other antibiotics, but can be used alone as a preferred treatment for latent TB infection.
