Mechanism of action
QL1701 binds to and activates the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor on pancreatic beta cells, stimulating glucose-dependent insulin secretion while simultaneously suppressing glucagon release. This dual mechanism, combined with delayed gastric emptying and reduced appetite, leads to improved blood glucose control and weight reduction in patients with type 2 diabetes.
