Mechanism of action
This is an intravenous fluid replacement therapy that provides a balanced composition of electrolytes and water to restore normal serum electrolyte concentrations and intravascular volume. It is used to correct dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and maintain homeostasis in patients unable to maintain adequate oral intake or experiencing significant fluid losses.
