Mechanism of action
Moviprep contains polyethylene glycol (PEG) and electrolytes that work osmotically to retain fluid in the bowel lumen, increasing stool volume and promoting bowel evacuation. The 1-day formulation is designed to provide effective colonic cleansing with a reduced treatment duration compared to traditional 2-day regimens, making it more convenient for patients undergoing colonoscopy or other procedures requiring bowel preparation.
