Leucovorin enhances the effects of certain chemotherapy drugs by protecting normal cells from damage while not protecting cancer cells.

Mechanism of action
Leucovorin works by replenishing folate levels in normal cells, which can be depleted by certain chemotherapy drugs. This helps to reduce side effects without compromising the treatment's effectiveness against cancer cells.
