Mechanism of action
Klean Prep contains polyethylene glycol (PEG) and electrolytes that create an osmotic effect, drawing water into the bowel lumen and promoting rapid transit and evacuation of fecal material. This preparation is administered orally in large volumes to thoroughly cleanse the entire colon, making it suitable for visualization during colonoscopy or other colorectal procedures.
