Mechanism of action

Acetaminophen works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system to reduce pain and fever. Propofol is a rapid-acting sedative that enhances GABAergic inhibitory neurotransmission in the central nervous system, producing sedation and anesthesia. When used together intravenously, they provide combined analgesia, antipyresis, and sedation for perioperative and critical care settings.
