Mechanism of action
This is a split-virion influenza vaccine containing inactivated viral antigens from three influenza strains (A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and B) for the 2005/2006 season. The vaccine works by presenting these antigens to the immune system, triggering both humoral (antibody) and cellular immune responses that provide protection against infection with matching circulating influenza strains.
