Mechanism of action
The drug works by forming a protective, hydrating film on the cornea and conjunctiva using hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring polysaccharide with high water-binding capacity. This mechanism reduces friction, protects the epithelium, and alleviates symptoms of dry eye disease by maintaining tear film stability and ocular surface moisture.
