Mechanism of action
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring polysaccharide that binds water and creates a hydrating barrier on mucosal surfaces. This mechanism supports epithelial cell proliferation, reduces bacterial adhesion, and maintains moisture in the oral cavity, facilitating healing of minor wounds, ulcers, and inflammatory conditions of the mouth and gums.
