Mechanism of action
Homeopathic preparations are made by serial dilution and succussion (vigorous shaking) of active substances, often to the point where no molecular traces remain. Practitioners claim these preparations contain a 'memory' of the original substance that triggers the immune system or vital force. However, clinical evidence does not support efficacy beyond placebo effect.
