Mechanism of action
Grazoprevir is an NS3/4A protease inhibitor that prevents the cleavage of HCV polyproteins essential for viral maturation. Elbasvir is an NS5A inhibitor that disrupts viral RNA replication and assembly. Together, this fixed-dose combination targets two critical steps in the HCV life cycle, achieving high cure rates across multiple HCV genotypes.
