Mechanism of action

The vaccine contains inactivated (killed) influenza virus particles or viral components that trigger both humoral and cellular immune responses. Upon administration, the immune system recognizes these antigens and generates protective antibodies and memory cells, reducing the risk of infection and severity of disease if exposure to wild-type influenza occurs.
