Mechanism of action
Fentanyl activates mu-opioid receptors throughout the brain and spinal cord, inhibiting pain signal transmission and producing potent analgesic effects. At the 15 microgram dose, this transdermal formulation provides sustained opioid receptor activation for chronic pain management.
