Mechanism of action

This oil-based contrast agent contains iodine, which is radiopaque and appears white on X-ray imaging. When injected into the uterine cavity, it flows through the fallopian tubes, allowing visualization of the reproductive tract anatomy and assessment of tubal patency. The iodine content provides the necessary radiographic contrast to distinguish reproductive structures from surrounding tissues.
