Elbasvir/Grazoprevir
Elbasvir/Grazoprevir is a Direct-acting antiviral (DAA) combination; NS5A inhibitor + NS3/4A protease inhibitor Small molecule drug developed by University of Florence. It is currently FDA-approved for Chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, genotypes 1, 4, 5, and 6. Also known as: MK-8742/MK-5172, Zepatier (BR); Elbasvir-Grazoprevir (SY); Grazoprevir/Elbasvir (SY); Grazoprevir-Elbasvir (SY); MK-8742/ MK-5172 (CN), Zepatier, Zepatier, serial number 86336186.
Elbasvir/Grazoprevir is a fixed-dose combination of a hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5A inhibitor and NS3/4A protease inhibitor that blocks viral replication.
Elbasvir/Grazoprevir, a small molecule, is a fixed-dose combination of Elbasvir 50 mg and Grazoprevir 100 mg, available as oral tablets. It is indicated for the treatment of Chronic Hepatitis C, among other conditions, as per ClinicalTrials.gov.

Mechanism of action
Elbasvir inhibits the HCV NS5A protein, which is essential for viral RNA replication and virion assembly. Grazoprevir inhibits the HCV NS3/4A serine protease, which is required for processing of the HCV polyprotein. Together, these two direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) suppress HCV replication through complementary mechanisms.
