Mechanism of action
It achieves this by binding to the glucocorticoid receptor, which then translocates to the nucleus and regulates the expression of various genes involved in inflammation. This results in a decrease in the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators, leading to a reduction in inflammation.
