Mechanism of action
Vitamin D3 is converted in the liver to 25-hydroxyvitamin D and then in the kidneys to the active form 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D, which regulates calcium and phosphate homeostasis, supports bone health, and modulates immune function. The oral drop formulation allows for flexible dosing and easy administration, particularly in pediatric populations.
