Mechanism of action
By inhibiting SGLT2, DCP-001 reduces glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, lowering blood glucose levels. This mechanism is similar to other SGLT2 inhibitors, such as empagliflozin and canagliflozin, which are used to treat type 2 diabetes.
