Mechanism of action
This botanical extract contains allergenic proteins from Arizona cypress pollen. When administered therapeutically, it is believed to induce immune tolerance through mechanisms such as T-regulatory cell expansion and shift from Th2 to Th1/Treg responses, reducing allergic symptoms upon natural pollen exposure. It is typically used in sublingual or subcutaneous immunotherapy formulations.
