Mechanism of action
Conventional toothpaste works through abrasive particles that physically scrub away biofilm and food residue when brushed against teeth. Fluoride ions are incorporated into the enamel structure, increasing resistance to acid demineralization and promoting remineralization of early carious lesions. Detergents in the formulation help suspend debris and improve cleaning efficacy.
