Mechanism of action

QIV vaccines contain inactivated (killed) virus particles or viral antigens from two influenza A strains and two influenza B strains. Upon administration, they trigger both humoral and cellular immune responses, leading to the production of antibodies and T-cell responses that provide protection against infection with the included influenza strains.
