Mechanism of action

Codeine is a weak opioid agonist that binds to mu opioid receptors in the central nervous system to reduce pain perception. Diclofenac is a nonselective COX inhibitor that reduces prostaglandin synthesis, decreasing inflammation and pain at the peripheral level. Together, they provide enhanced analgesia for moderate pain conditions.
